Hi, where can I find information on The passenger list for Indian Indentured Labourers travelling from India to British Guiana, by ship to work on the sugar plantations..during the period of 1838 to 1912. Mr grandfather travelled on such ship with his
parents from India and I believe, the ship went to Skeldon, Berbice sugar plantation. Many thanks.

It appears that the East India Company was the instigator of this indentured servitude and the proprietors of the ships that took the emigrants. If you search the FamilySearch Catalog, there is nothing that turns up passenger lists of indentured servants, but there are several guides to the East India Company's records. Perhaps one of those guides will tell how to get to the passenger lists?
