question on finding my way around the site. Just opened my account 3days ago. On day 2 I came across a person that had entered a lot of my history and was able to request a contact point with them. Now I can't find how I did that or if it worked.

    Thank you for your reply. It wasn't a message that was sent though, it was a request of contact or something like that. to see if they wanted to connect. no message just click here and we will notify them sort of thing

    @MicheleSouthwell

    if you’re talking about the option to see how you might be related, then you would have clicked “request to view relationship”, which sends the other person a pre written message asking them to share their relationship info. You can see who you’ve sent such requests to by clicking on the “messages” tab 😊 hope this was helpful😊 good luck!

    MicheleSouthwell,

    The easiest way to make contact with a person who has been working on your ancestors, is to go to one of those records and look at the "Show all changes". you will see their name next to change that they made. Click on that name and select send a message.

    The message you send along with any responses you get will be recorded in your messages area that Dennis Yancy referred to above. Those conversation messages will stay around as long as you want until they are deleted.
