    Who precisely do you want to find?

    There are billions of people in FS databases

    you can find any single one of them by doing a search

    using this screen:

    https://www.familysearch.org/tree/find/name

    (but normally you should be looking for deceased persons) - you will not be able to search on living persons - other than those you yourself have entered.

    he is alive and contacted me via 23 and me regarding finding a possible family relative mutual through my husband. his message indicated that he has a FT posted on family search.org. said if i enter his name, "james Robert Burns b 1969 in Columbia SC that should bring me up". I generally use Ancestry .com - he does not. So was trying to give him some info etc and see what he already has. I an not very savvy with Family Search although I would like to become more familiar. thank yo for our response. Barbara Campbell

    you will need to ask him who his most recent deceased ancestor is and then you can look up that person.

    you will not find living persons in FamilySerarch Family Tree - for privacy and legal reasons.
