How do I find out which family my ancestor belongs to?

I'm very new to this and I'm already struggling. I have a George Newbold 1845-1913 but he seems to have a very similar match living in the Leicestershire area. His parents could either be Samuel Newbold 1821 and Elizabeth Gray 1823 or Liskham/Liscom/Liskom Newbold 1808 and Mary Holt 1814 any help would be much appreciated.

Is your George Newbold GSG7-2QM? The marriage record on his sources page for him and Elizabeth Barnes lists his father as Liskum Newbold. You can email me at [email protected] if you’d like more help.
