Create a second tree

I have found an individual that i'm not sure is a relative or not. Can I start a new tree to work with while i work to find out.

How do i do this? As i noticed that in Family Tree drop down menu, there's an option to view 'manage trees'.

If i can start a second tree, how? If not, how do i add an unrelated individual

Good morning. The FamilySearch tree is all one enormous tree meant to include a profile for every person who has ever lived.
You can build a profile for a person without connecting it to your known ancestors. Later, you can connect it when you find the evidence.

From your list of Recents, scroll to the bottom to use Add Unconnected Person
