'A' Wills missing.

@Thomas25842 It does appear that the beginning of this collection may be incomplete. Looking at the film, the alphabet runs continuously without any obvious gap between letters, so it seems unlikely the A's were simply skipped during filming. My best guess is that some of the earliest records — particularly those from 1729 — may have been too fragile to handle and microfilm at the time. Documents stored on top of a stack are often the first to show wear and damage, which could explain why the A’s aren't captured. That said, these are just my thoughts and not a confirmed answer.
If you'd like to investigate further, you're welcome to submit a request to have the original microfilm pulled and examined to see whether the missing wills are present. Look under FAQ at this link: FamilySearch Library Film Collection
