How can I copy part of someone else's family tree to my tree (without having to go in and add each person individually)? One of my DNA matches has more complete info for that portion (just part of the tree..not all ). Thank you!

    .

Please explain what you mean by "... can I copy part of someone else's family tree to my tree ..."!

    .

If you are referring to "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch"; then, you show NOT have to "Copy" someone else's Ancestral line onto you Ancestral line - IF , you are "Connected", you should just be able to 'link' in!

    .

Or, are you referring to "Downloading" the Ancestral line from "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" into ANOTHER programme; then, that is another matter entirely.

    .

    Again, please explain.

Some of the trees of my DNA matches have people I'd like to place in my tree. How can I copy several people to my tree (a section of a family) without having to go in an add each one. That's what I'm doing now (adding each one), but it's a tedious process. Thanks for your help!

    .

    "FamilySearch" DOES NOT record DNA.

    .

    And, as an aside ...

    .

    FYI

    .

We do not have our OWN "Tree" in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".

    .

We ONLY have "Branches", that are interconnected, in this SINGLE "One" World "Tree", for all of us, that is "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".

    .

"Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" is NOT like "Ancestry_com" or the like.

    .

We DO NOT have "Private"/"Personal" 'Trees' in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" like other "Websites"; and/or, 'standalone' personal programmes.

    .

We do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, the "Deceased" individuals/person in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".

    .

"Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" is built on a "Open Edit" Platform - hence, why any registered User/Patron can "Edit" (ie. Add, Delete; and/or, Change) ANY "Deceased" individual/person in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".

    .

    Now ...

    That said ...

    .

    Questions:

    .

    - From where do you want to get these individuals/persons?

    .

    - And, following on from that, where do you want to put these individuals/persons?

    .

So sorry, I actually thought I was on Ancestry. (The logo is quite similar.) Please disregard my question.
