1920 census seems to have relationships stripped out

I'm pretty sure these used to be there, but now when you try to attach a 1920 census entry in the source linker, all the people are piled at the bottom without any relationships. If you click the View Image hyperlink and examine the entries for people in the census, you find that even though they are still grouped into households, none of the people in the household report any relationship to anyone else in the household.

You can see an example of this at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-9RXB-WL9?view=index&cc=1488411&lang=en&groupId=&personArk=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AMDBX-L6V

Most of the entries on this census page have no relationships recorded.

    @EarlMarshal

Have you tried doing some housekeeping on your device clearing cookies etc.

when I clicked on the link you gave all relationships are listed on the pages of the census up to and including the page you shared

@JBPurdie , so just to make sure we are looking at the same thing, here's what I see for one of the entries, as an example. When you look at this entry on the census page referenced, do you see relationships in the area indicated?

@EarlMarshall if it isnt documented it didnt happen I think it is just the one family on this page that was not grouped by relationship. All others on the page have the appropriate relationships. Do you know how to edit the record, or would you like me to provide details?

@ShelleWells, thanks for the offer but I know how to edit relationships. I believe LOTS of families on the 1920 census have had their relationships stripped out. I do work with the 1920 census almost every day and see this on an ongoing basis with most families. If the next line of text after the Relationships header says "None added yet" then there is no relationship data for the family.

On this page of census entries I see no relationships for each of these heads of household:

    1. Sarah E. Dawson
    2. Albert M. Sanderson
    3. John T. Morris
    4. Alex H. Scowden
    5. Ralph Henkle
    6. Ambrose Morris
    7. Elmer Welsh
    8. Earl R. Smith
    9. Levi R. Ellis
    10. Joseph H. Burris

In short, there is only ONE head of household on this census page that has any relationship data. This is not an occasional problem but a ubiquitous problem. Could you send me a screen capture for one of these head of household where you see relationship data?

@EarlMarshall if it isnt documented it didnt happen well… I don't have an answer either. When I look at them now, there are no relationships, just like you said. Earlier today they were there. I'll pass this on to @SerraNola, who might know what is going on.

This screenshot for John T Morris verifies that relationships were indexed for the entire film.

This viewer retrieves data from an older storage system. Nearly all our record collections have been migrated to an updated platform which is where you found John T Morris without a wife. Clearly, there was an unnoticed error during the migration process.

The scope of this issue is unclear. It could be as much as 50% but as you can see from search results some relationships did migrate successfully: https://www.familysearch.org/en/search/record/results?count=20&q.filmNumber=004967430

Sampling several 1920 Census films revealed similar errors. Thank you for reporting this; I will inform the engineers.
