Massachusetts Vital Records to 1930

Hello, did you have a question about these records?

For the last few years I have been able to access digital vital records in Massachusetts (up to 1930) on the state archives website. In the past few months these records were moved to Family Search. The collection is called Massachusetts, State Vital Records, 1638-1927. Despite saying the FamilySearch collection goes through 1927, I can only browse records through 1920. Any searches for specific records just bring up records through 1921. Am I doing something wrong ?

@mom24mass this may well be privacy related since Vital Records clearly includes births and a 110-year rule or similar may perhaps apply to FS' relevant holdings. @SerraNola can you help please?

@mom24mass I have responded on your other similar thread.

Massachusetts has open vital records so all records are available (no privacy rules) , but only vital records through 1930 have been digitized. Anything after that, you have to go to the state Vital Records office. I have been able to access vital records thru 1930 for a few years on the state archives website, but they turned the collection over to Family Search.

@mom24mass I believe this collection may not yet have all the records published. The description gives the date range up to 1920, yet there are some available for 1925. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QHV-MQ7X-5XFJ?view=explore&groupId=TH-7709-112865-19657-44&lang=en
