Issues with source linker, especially for Italian records

For at least two weeks now, I have been unable to link sources to people. It has primarily been a problem with Italian and Sicilian records. Whenever I try to link a source, I get an error page. This has slowed my work down so much! When can we expect this problem to be fixed? I've spoken with two different help line people and I was encouraged to save each source to my source box, then go and link the source from the box to the person. This isn't just a case of a couple of clicks - it is a lengthy work around and the information still needs to be entered by hand. Please… help!
