How to connect your tree to other existing trees?

I found family members on another tree and would like to connect it to my own to fill in the blanks

    As you know, the Family Tree on Family Search is a public shared tree. Your view of the tree is a reflection of the relationships assigned to each individual. Where you find that you are connected to another branch, you need to add the relationship that connects you to that branch. In general, there are only two types of relationships: Parent-child and couple. Once you add the relationship that connects you to another branch, the whole branch will be added to your view of the tree. Here is a link to more detailed instructions about adding relationships.
