Suggestion
Rather than create a custom event for school attended, could you you add
"School" to the list, similar to Occupation, Residence.
Having School as a custom event seems strange to see, it should really
have School as a main choice (or have option for "Primary School", and
"Secondary School".

@DingoDoo - I would suggest that the Event Type should be Educated, rather than School because it's much more general and can cover attendance at college, university, middle school, high school, etc, etc. (Lots of types of school).
The current GEDCOM Standard has an Attribute EDUC for "A description of a scholastic or educational achievement or pursuit" - that's not quite the same thing since it refers to the qualification coming out of attendance at a school or college, etc, whereas the best value of Educated would surely refer to a length of time that someone was being educated.
