Need copy of birth from film 5672998537581
Good Morning,
I need a copy of a 1950 birth certificate that is indexed but not available online best I can tell. I know I can order this from vital records and from the courthouse but I need it quickly for proof of research for a genealogy job. It's my only missing document. This microfilm is called Birth Records, 1853-1962 in English Publication date 1968. Publisher is Genealogical Society of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah. There are 6 reel. References (Digital Collection) West Virginia Births, 1853-1930 and (Digital Collection) West Virginia, county vital records, 1794-1969. These are supposed to be the original records from the courthouse in Putnam County. It says I can view a digital copy of births but I can't find them online for 1950. The name I'm searching for is (information removed) in Putnam County, West Virginia, USA. My sister said she was born at home. She shows up on a census in 1950 correctly. This reel in located on collection and shelf: United States & Canada B1 Floor Film under the film number 5672998537581. That would be the index for A-G and I need Call. Can anyone get that document for me today? Thanks,
Lisa S

Your reference has pushed together two different reference numbers. So, FILM 567299 / DGS 8537581 which are referenced on this page: https://www.familysearch.org/en/search/catalog/koha:62221 contains records that are restricted for privacy reasons as required by West Virginia state law.
West Virginia vital records have privacy restrictions, making them a non-open-record state. Access to records is restricted and not public until a certain time has passed: 100 years for birth and fetal death records, and 50 years for death, marriage, and divorce records. The State Registrar and County Clerks cannot provide public listings of names or addresses, and disclosures are only permitted for specific, authorized purposes.
