Relationship Viewing in a user’s Profile Window

I searched the FS website and FS Forum. I found the following article, but it does not answer my questions

https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-turn-on-or-off-the-option-to-view-my-relationship-to-other-users

I do have Enable Relationship Viewing turned on.

When I click on a previous contributor’s name (either on the website or in the app), a window pops up with their profile.I have never seen “View my relationship” that is mentioned in the article above.

Instead it states one of 3 things:

Not related
Request to View Relationship
Request Pending

Is the article and video in need of updating? Or are my settings wrong? Or does no one else have Enable Relationship Viewing turned on?

Does “Request Pending” mean that the other user has clicked “Request to View Relationship” and is waiting for me to respond?

It sounds like everything is working correctly, but you don't seem to be related to anyone. Here's the meaning of those three options you are seeing:

    • Not related: Both you and the other user do have relationship viewing enabled, but no relationship can be found between you and that user. If you are seeing this for every user, it may be an indication that you are not connected to the big tree. You might want to make sure that your ancestors connect up to existing deceased person's in Family Tree. If a relationship could be found you would see "View Relationship" instead of "Not Related."
    • Request to View Relationship: This means that the other user has not yet enabled relationship viewing. You can send a request to then to enable it. If course, they may not choose to enable it.
    • Request Pending: This means that someone (could be you, but most likely someone else) has already sent them a request to enable relationship viewing, but the user has not chosen to do so. This does not mean that anyone is waiting for you to take action, but rather that the other user has not taken action to enable that setting.
