IrishFlygirl, There are different ways to take information from your Ancestry account to FamilySearch. Do you have an Ancestry account as a member of the church? Or do you have a regular paid subscription? The technique is different based upon the type of account that you have.

Hi - I have this same question. I have a paid subscription to Ancestry.com and have many more members and connections on my family tree on that platform than I do here. I would like to import that information here as I would like to end that subscription. Thanks for your help!

If there is a source in Ancestry that I want listed in sources in FamilySearch, I use Ancestry’s share function which generates a link. In FS I add a web source and paste the link there.

I would like to add to my previous answer that an example of how this looks is in the sources for LR89-S76. The 1824 will source is from Ancestry.

The easy way to do this is:
If both people exist in Ancestry and FamilySearch, go to the person in Ancestry and click the FamilySearch icon at the top of the Ancestry page.
- Then click "Connect" to the FS ID--be careful, there may be more than one
- Go through the steps
- Then come back to the FS icon and click "Compare"
- The two records will come up next to each
- Click the boxes and all of the names, places, dates, sources, can be changed and added back and forth from FS and Ancestry.
If any additional help is wanted, please let me know. PaulaAnn

Uh, PABulfinch that function is only available to LDS church members who log into Ancestry with church accounts. Right?
