Kruk Family Research
Joannes Kruk (LHY2-SP1) is my third great grandfather on my father’s side. According to his birth record, Joannes is the son of Franciscus Kruk (GXZ5-1FN) and Catharina Matkowna (LHY2-QGX).
I have obtained birth records for four of Joannes’s siblings:·
Franciscus Kruk (GXZ5-R4R)·
Catharina Kruk (LHYK-BZ8)·
Marianna Kruk (GKFN-89G)·
Adam Kruk (GXFV-MVH)·
Anna Kruk (LHY2-SP1)
All these records were indexed, which suggests that the original documents still exist. However, currently, none of the images of these records are available for viewing. Despite my efforts to locate additional records, I have not been able to find birth or marriage records for Franciscus Kruk or Catharina Matkowna on FamilySearch. This has resulted in a dead end to my research.Given the absence of accessible images and the limitations encountered on FamilySearch, I am unsure if there are alternative methods for viewing these records. I am seeking guidance on how to proceed with obtaining the original documents or identifying new sources for further research.

You may want to try Ancestry - hope this link will work for you (I'm not very good with technology)

I would recommend posting your discussion in the Poland research Group to find many other experts in your area. I would also suggest going to the FamilySearch Wiki pages for Poland research techniques and another good choice would be the Poland: finding town of origins. I also found a Polish map finder that may be of use. Unfortunately Poland has one of the most fluid borders of any European nation, constantly being changed by one conquer or another, Russia, Germany, Austrio-Hungary.
