Flagging a community post now requires a reason to be selected. There are insufficient choices.

As of today, flagging a post in the community requires a reason to be specified by selecting one or more of a number of checkboxes. The list of checkboxes includes most of the usual suspects, but it doesn't provide for something like "Request for moderator review". I know that users have used flagging to get a moderator's attention in cases where a problem has been reported, but no moderator action has occurred after a decent interval or the discussion has been closed.

Today, I have flagged a discussion of my own from several months ago which had been closed. It related to a definite reproducible bug in the system. I have some more information to add to the discussion.

I would suggest that there should be some consideration given to expanding the list of reasons.

Those options appeared back in July, then went away, and came back again. See

I use the 'Inappropriate' category, along with an explanation, when none of the main categories seem to fit.

As this Community is based on a platform from an outside vendor, it's unlikely that the categories will meet our exact needs.

I can agree with a "Needs Moderator Review" option for the reasons list.

I find "Inappropriate" with an explanation works just fine for that purpose.
