Software Error?

Why, in the past few days, am I getting a "Something Went Wrong" error page every time I try to attach records? I have been entering data in this site for the past 10 years and now it wont let me attach any hints/records.

Is it something I might have done or is there a break in the software code?

    Hello @Cindy Sinanian

    Could you provide an example profile ID/record URL pairing please.

    Also, please let us know what operating system and browser you are using and whether or not they are up to date.

    Finally, does the problem occur on a different computer/with a different browser/using a different account?

    Following is an example

    Selecting under Research Help, Iowa County Marriage record, select Review and Attach the following screen comes up:

    FamilySearch.org

    I have been working on the same HP Laptop for the past 5 years. About 4 months ago, upgraded to Windows 11 Home, Version 24H2, OS build 26100.4946 with no issues. I am in Family Search every day and average inputting 30,000 names and attaching 120,000 records a year. This inability to attach records started about 1 week ago.

    Additionally, I created a different account yesterday with the same results. I do not have another computer to check with.

    I am getting no errors at all, normal behaviour on all of this, both on my PC (Windows 11 up to date, Chrome 139.0.7258.128) and on the Android app (version 5.2.8).

    What browser/version are you using? What happens if you try another browser?

    If you View the Record itself, rather than going straight to the Source Linker, e.g. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6X1N-N99Z?lang=en, does it work normally or do you get an error?

    Well I stayed off the site for the past 3 days and after not being able to attach records every day for over a week, I am now able to attach. Everything back to normal. I suspect a software roll occurred in something.

    I have had the same problem as you have had, Cindy Sinanian. I stayed off now for about 3 days and will let you know if I am now able to resume working or not.
