3rd granderfather of my Paternal side Second wife
Hello, I have a question, can I change the a tree lineage that has his first wife but not his second and thats where my family name continues down to me. I have all the correct information on the second wife or do I add the name to his second wife that lsted in the marriage under his name but shows no children.
Thanks, that was a mouthful, hope you understand my questions.

In genealogy, and in FamilySearch, you will want to link and show all spouses.
* In FamilySearch you have the option when there are more than one spouse to "Set Preferred", a hot link button just under the title Family Members in that box. Here you can prioritize which line is shown when you switch back to Tree View, to be the line you are part of, regardless of which marriage number it might be.
*FS will sort the Spouses based on an input marriage date in chronological order, with no date entered - always showing last. This is independent of the "preferred" mentioned earlier.
*Kids should be primarily listed with their birth parents; however they can also be added to the second marriage - but for genealogical purposes - should and are able to be marked Adoptive, Biological, Foster, Guardianship, or Step under the "Add Relationship Type" found when clicking the edit pencil after the child's name.2 -
