Recent changes- cannot attach or edit certain people
Hi, there seem to have been two recent changes to the Source Linker that really limit its functionality:
The first change, which appeared a few days ago, is that I don't seem to be able to attach sources to people unless the names match very closely. There's just no ability to drag the entry to line up with the person! (I can still drag entries around in other situations so it's not a browser problem.) I think the reason why this is a problem should be fairly obvious- people use nicknames, people change their names, the previous name might just be incorrect and you want to attach and edit it, etc.
I can't screenshot the lack of ability to drag but it's only giving me the option to add a new child named 'Beckie' instead of attaching to 'Rebecca' here:
The second, which has been there for a while now, is that you can't always edit a person's name from the Source Linker. It seems like the edit option (pencil icon) only appears when the system thinks the name being attached is sufficiently different? This would still be limiting if the names were totally identical, since I would often like to correct an error/omission from the original record (many fathers' last names not included in marriage records), but it's extra frustrating when they're merely similar.
Here is a screenshot where there's no option to edit (usually it's the other way around where I would like to add a missing last name but cannot):

I am also seeing and missing the ability to drag a family member in a source to match them with the names in the tree when linking records like census and marriage. I use the drag frequently and I hope it comes back.

Recently where you click to drag the name was changed. Previously you had to click and drag just to the left of the Attach or Add link. Now you have to click on or very near the name:
I'm wondering if this was done by accident. In any case we can still drag entries around by clicking where the hidden arrows are now to be found.

@Sandra3626 It would have been better to post your comment elsewhere as a new topic because it has nothing to do with the source linker and nothing to do with this post.
However, there are two Edward Chmelovsky profiles that I can find. One has mainly been worked on by you which is https://www.familysearch.org/en/tree/person/details/GVG2-FQ8 and the other has been worked on by other people which is https://www.familysearch.org/en/tree/person/details/G3V2-SHY these are clearly two different people.
On the profile you have been working on his place of death was last edited by you on March 1, 2023. It has not been changed by you or anyone else since then. What are you seeing that has raised a concern?
