As of June 3, 2024, the option to toggle back to the old source linker has been removed.

The new Source Linker should work like the prior version. The difference is an updated look and feel to match the rest of FamilySearch.org and:
- We have added the ability to edit the Tree person from within Source Linker.
- Standardized dates and places are now automatically saved as the source is added.
- A view panel was added to show the indexed record.
- The ability to edit the indexed record is provided.
- An indicator will compare the indexed record to the FamilyTree data and indicate when it is different.
- New colors, fonts, arrows, and checkmarks have been added based on user feedback.
- Baptisms now populate in the Christening field.
- Marriage registration events now populate the Marriage field.
- Death Registration will now populate the Death fieldd.
