Can Family Search restrict that only names of people go into name fields?
Can Family search make it possible that only names can be added to the name area ? (Hope I can explain what I mean) I have some relatives that people have added "International Trader" after the person's name, or the person's name and "of (where-ever) It seems that some people want others to see/think that these people were of some important family line. But it doesn't help when others are trying to search for them. I've tried removing this information from the name field, but it gets put back. I thought if Family Search would only allow names, and not occupations, or of where-ever it might help, or Flag it red or something so that people understand they should only enter names into the name field.

I'm not sure if it's ever happened to my relatives, but I've certainly seen people adding extra text into the Suffix item within the overall Name so that they can distinguish two people of the same name. This is particularly annoying when someone enters "great-grandfather" (say) into the Name / Suffix item. Such entries imply a complete lack of knowledge that other people might be looking at those profiles.
Unfortunately, it gets seriously difficult to see how to filter those entries to warn about text that shouldn't be there. For instance, the occupation "Baker" is also a name, as is (more obscurely for English language workers) "Kaufmann". And I confess that I also have sympathy with anyone having multiple people called "Thomas Jones" in one Welsh town - I'm pretty sure they would be called, for instance, "Tom Jones the baker" in real life (or "Tom Jones the Voice" 😉 )

What I've seen is AI highlighting that extra information in Full Name Review, then people doing the review copy it into the suffix box because they either don't know or possibly even think that AI knows everything and that they, the people must do something with everything they see. They don't dare remove the highlights which is exactly what they should be doing 😉
