Names in Mandarin and English

When changing Family/search to Mandarin, will the program also show the name in Latin characters? When Temple names are given out, the names are shown in English and the native language, when the characters are different.

My grandson-in-law is Chinese. He would like me to put his family into FamilySearch. I can only do that in English, but it would be good if the name were also displayed in Mandarin. Possible / Not Possible?

Thank you! Having the names viewable in both formats will be very helpful.

Yes, you can do this. The important step is when you enter a name, you need to choose the Chinese language template. Then you can enter the Mandarin name in the Hanzi fields, and the Latin version in the Roman fields, like this:

If you are entering (or simply viewing) names in a script that is not familiar to you, you may want to go to Settings > Account, and turn on the Show Romanized Script preference. Then (using my example above), you'll see Li Xiao Long displayed for the name, rather than 李小龍, which you might find difficult to read.
