Has the search facility for Records changed?

I have been researching family members in Antigua and Barbuda for a number of years and I have had great success in finding and downloading the relevant BMD register images for those relatives from the "Records" section. I have not used Family Search for some months but having started searching again I am finding my searches are mainly fruitless.

I have gone back to previous searches for people I have previously downloaded images for, and still have saved, and can no longer find any entries. Having checked many of these known records I decided to look in the "Images" section "records that haven't been made searchable through indexing yet" and I am finding the correct images.

Something must have changed? Have indexes been deleted?

Those are some that are included in the area of "Records" I am searching. I have attached one of the records - Thomas Gomer/z Roberts f=Montague Roberts m=Mary Phoebe Ann Jenkins - that was easy to find previously. Try searching for it now.

Not found by searching by name @DavidCowperthwaite, but I did locate it by browsing in Images.

Exactly! Previously it could be found by searching. So something has changed.

@SerraNola Could you add this one to your list to check, please? It would be good to know if the loss of a searchable index is by design/contract or if this one is an oops.

    Thanks.

It looks very similar to recent restrictions on other collections to remove records of the living. No birth records are searchable. The DGS have been split so older birth records may be coming back. I will see if I can confirm this.
