Continued Problem With Merging Marriage Information
With Group by Family off, I can't choose which marriage information I want and I have to wonder if I might get both.
With Group by Family on, I can't see any marriage information at all and no idea what I'm going to end up with.
After the merge, I do end up with just the singe marriage event
and so if that was the wrong one, now have to go to Change Log, open the merge view to discover that no marriage information shows there, jump to the deleted person's profile page, open that person's change log, scroll through and find the marriage information, then copy it to the surviving person's profile.
This can be better.
We need to be able to see the marriage information whether Group by Family is on or off. We need to be able to choose which marriage information to keep or if there is something about the underlying data structure that is going to make that impossible, all marriage events need to be copied to the surviving profile. It is much more efficient to open the Couple Event box after a merge and delete unneeded or duplicate marriage events than to have to search around to find the lost information and copy it to the surviving profile.

@Gordon Collett Thanks for the feedback.
We are currently looking into the marriage events and hope to have a better answer for you soon.
Are you interested in meeting with any members of the team to talk about your process for merges?
Thanks,

If they think that would be helpful I would be happy to, but I've been pretty vocal here so I'm not sure I'd have much more to say that what I already have unless they would like to see how I approach merges from start to finish.
