Confidential Profiles and Ordinances

I have never been a member of the Church. I therefore do not understand how ordinances work or even what they are. That being said, I love using FamilySearch for my family tree. My ancestors come from a place that, if you put where they were born/died/got married, it instantly makes them "confidential". I can't do anything about that, so I never put where they wer born/died/were married, just the dates. I want to keep them public, so that other family members can get to know their ancestors. It doesn't help anyone if they're confidential. Anyhow, once in a while, a Church Member who is also a descendant of people from that place comes and does batches of adding their birthplace to many profiles, ruining a LOT of work. When I point it out to him, he asks me not to delete the confidential profiles because they might have ordinances. Since I have not been a member of the Church, I cannot see the ordinances and don't know how or if they can be moved from a confidential to a non-confidential profile.
Could you please let me know?

Good afternoon: The only way to share the confidential people is to build a Family Group Tree or CET where you can invite up to 500 people to participate in your group. Within the Family Group Tree or CET you and your group members you invited are able to view the information on confidential people.
A Church member in your Family Group Tree or CET can still request ordinance work for your confidential people.
