    Here are screenshots of how I do this: it's rather long-winded, doing this one-by-one, if multiple children are involved, so maybe another user can suggest a better method. Sorry if you already know this and are specifically talking about several children, in which case I need the same advice myself!

    Start by clicking on the pencil icon by the child's name, then:

    (Or, perhaps that should read: "Dorothy Wrightson has been attached to wrong mother" !)

    If one of the mothers could be classified as a step mother then you also have the option of labeling the one mother as a step and then simply add the biological mother also. That eliminates a step of removal from the other mother. It just depends on how you want your tree to appear,

    In the Reason Box, I'd like to see a citation for a document ie birth cert, family Bible, etc - that would help eliminate multiple changes by well-meaning people who know nothing at all about the family
