Correct Incorrect Information

On this page (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:61KW-T11Z?lang=en) the sex for Conor is erroneously indicated as female, when in fact Conor is a male. How can this be corrected. Thanks,

Hi @Lex115, unfortunately FamilySearch users cannot correct indexes where, as in this case, we have no access to the original values on the source document(s). This is why the Edit button is greyed out.

When you are out of indexing, and into SourceLinker on FamilyTree; you can still link a source marked female to a male person. In this way the indexed source is still linked to the correct person. Obviously the preponderance of sources will confirm the male sex of the individual and we can look past this scribners or indexers error.
If for example, the incorrect source is used to create a female entry in FS - a person will be obligated to change the sex detail on the one to enable you to merge the two records. I would only do this for 'stray' / 'floater' entries in FS that are clearly created from the error. If in doubt - leave them alone.
I'm with you though, OCD me wants to correct that record entry too.

@Lex115 Actually, you can edit the records is this obituary collection and I changed Conor to Male. As a general rule, if you can access the image in the Shared Image Viewer you can edit what was indexed, regardless of whether or not the Edit button is grayed out. In this case, there is no link to the image from this page so you will need to use a workaround. Click on the link to the collection landing page:
Search for an easy name to find from the obituary:
Then click on the digital record icon:
Use the pencil icon to edit data or relationships that need correcting or to add missing information.
