Take a look at the Get Involved Option on your FS Home Page and select Opportunities. Opportunities have replaced traditional web indexing of the past. Ask any questions you have in this community forum. Best wishes😎

Indexing was retired in April of this year in favor of AI indexing. As @maryellenstevensbarnes1 states, you can assist the AI indexing through Review on your Opportunity page.

ERutherford — or whowever knows the answer to this question — you say Indexing was retired in April…but there are other indexing-related activities offered in Opportunities, such as Quick Name Review, Full Name Review, Family Review, and Location Verification. However, it appears that when these activities are engaged in, the Family History Activity Report does not recognize them as Indeing activities for the purposes of the report. Our Indexing #s have not increased since April. Is this a glitch, and the tracking just hasn't caught up with the change, or is Indexing not being tracked any longer?

Daniel, the AI review is just that, not indexing. We can see our own numbers as far as what we did to help with the AI review, but those don't count toward our indexing report numbers. Notice that on the Opportunities page, Indexing is a separate category from the reviews.

Straight indexing; meaning you grab a batch and fill in whatever the projects ask for, was retired along with your indexing numbers. AI took over the indexing part (rather poorly, imo) and us humans review what AI did.

@Daniel Quillen Since AI took over the indexing since April, there is no more human/straight indexing to be tracked. We humans have the task of reviewing/correcting whatever AI is doing. The problem is that AI only picks out letters and words. AI doesn't read and interpret/understand the entire sentence or document. My opinion is many humans don't understand/know how to read sentences, history/family stories/legal documents, etc. due to human fascination with speed and technology
