How do I donate family history records to family search?

I found a book, in a library. on the Tinsleys of Virginia. It was a record of family history.

The book was not copyrighted so I was allowed to copy it. I have a hard copy and a pdf file of this information and would like to share it but I'm sure how to do this.

My mother-in-law was a Tinsley. I noticed some of her family history was incomplete. The information I want to donate was a big help in completing it.

    you can also simply upload it as a Memories item
    (though Im guessing you will need to convert it into multiple pdf files and use compression to stay under the 15 MB file size limit.

    @McClungSylviaKathleen

    You could upload the pdf file to the Internet Archive, either in preference, or additionally to FamilySeach. In addition to there being in practice no limit to pdf size, (unless it is enormous), I believe the Internet Archive would have a wider coverage. It contains many books relating to genealogy.

    The upload process is explained in https://help.archive.org/?s=Upload

    on a side note . . .
    How was it determined that the item was not copyrighted?

    (lack of a copyright notice being included on anything does NOT (by itself) mean it does not fall under copyright law. )
