Is there a marker to distinguish users editing profiles?

To explain, I came across a few people editing profiles that are part of my tree. Whenever I can, I address them and try to find out if they are cousins, as some users do not allow the connection tool to work.

Often, let's say 50%, are not related. Is there a way to check that immediately by just looking at their profile?

You can see how you are related to any other FamilySearch contributor by clicking on their Contributor ID. As long as both you and that contributor have enabled relationship viewing, you will immediately see in the contact card that pops up how you are related to them (or you will see "Not related" if no relationship can be established). A single click on their Contributor ID seems pretty immediate to me. Is that what you are doing?

However, if a contributor has not enabled relationship viewing, then you will not be able to see how you are related to them. FamilySearch has to respect their desire for privacy in this case.

@Alan E. Brown Just curious, could this editing be happening as a result of the current review Opportunities when folks who are "trying to help" by changing a person's vitals without having and attaching a source or a note in the Reason For Change box? If so, its something FS may want to discuss as it may be why some of us have difficulty with all the changes. Thanks

There are many ways someone may come across a profile and decide to update it. I see no reason to assume that review opportunities would make any particular increase in profile editing, as opposed to the many other possibilities. But I don't have any data either way.
