How to get Errors in a Family Tree corrected?

I have been reviewing my family tree and have found several inconsistencies and errors. How do I suggest corrections?

Family Tree is a single, universal, collaborative wiki-style tree in which all users have equal editing rights.

This means that when you find inconsistencies and errors, you just correct them. However, this also means that you have to have good supporting evidence and sources for all changes you make. Also, you have to be particularly careful that you are really looking at the people you think you are. Often inconsistencies show up because a user accidentally put an existing profile in the wrong spot on a family branch. You need to determine whether the incorrect information on a relative is there because someone put the wrong information on the right person or whether all the information is correct but it is the wrong person and the person needs to be removed from the family and the right person put in place. It is really good practice when you run across potential errors to thoroughly evaluate how and why that information ended up on the profile.

If you are new to Family Tree, it is generally best to learn how to edit by starting with close relatives such as your parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Do all you can to make their profiles perfect with full sourcing and as many details as you can. That will give you great practice with to how to work in Family Tree. Then move back one generation at a time to further improve your family lines.

@David63878 As Gordon Collett mentioned the FamilySearch Family Tree is collaborative so take advantage of the other individuals that have contributed to your family line. If you see something that is in question, don't hesitate to reach out and chat with the person involved. See what they may know and what their thinking/research went into their contributions. You might find some of your own relations have been contributors.
