    I can't tell which country you are trying to find the census records for, but since you mentioned riskarkivet it may be Switzerland? If so I would start looking in FamilySearch Wiki for Switzerland Census records. You can look up other individual countries as needed. I also found an article with instructions on how to obtain Swiss Census records from the 3,000 family Genealogies already digitized. There is also a Blog that can be followed. There is a Swiss research Group that also might be of assistance. Sorry if you are not looking for Switzerland feel free to send further information or more details on what you are looking for. Thank you.

    Switzerland? You mean Scandinavia. Riksarkivet is not a german, french oder italian word (the 3 main languages spoken in Switerland), it's a scandivian word.

    riksarkivet = swedish

    rigsarkivet = danish

    I believe you are looking for Swedish Records. The best source for me is ArkivDigital, it is a premium site available at FamilySearch centers. It has all of the Swedish Census Records indexed.

    Hi. Thank you for getting back to me. It is Swedish Riksarkivet that i mentioned in my original message. I've already been using arkiv digital for years and the website i'm looking for isn't there. I believe it is the Stockholm city archives that i'm searching for. i've tried several websites and now if i type in any address ending in 'se', i'm told it cannot be found.

    @Cindy Hall_10 Is this the section of the Riksarkivet you are looking for: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/folkrakningar

    It looks like this:

    And gives results like this:

    Hi everyone, thank you for the responses. We finally discovered the website. It was the stadsarkivet.stockholm.se/Rotemannen site.
