What is the difference between the FamilySearch Catalog and the Family History Library Catalog? Which one is recommended to use while visiting the library iin Salt Lake? Is it possible to save search lists in the Family History Library Catalog?

@mikedrummer Thank you for your inquiry.

The FamilySearch Catalog and the Family History Library Catalog are both catalogs used to find records on FamilySearch, but they serve slightly different purposes. The Family History Library Catalog is a more traditional library catalog, focusing on the resources held at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and Family History Centers. The FamilySearch Catalog Instructions is a broader catalog that also includes digitized records from online databases and resources.

I have recently completed a family history which I have put on the internet. Can I arrange for it to be included in the Catalog?

@stricpa Yes, you can submit your history to FamilySearch to be listed in Books. Call the Help number 866-406-1830. They will give the link for making a submittal. There will be a form for submittal, the key question is whether you as the author want it to be public or private.
