Is RecordSeek a good resource?
I just viewed "How to Check the Accuracy of your Family Tree" on Youtube.
In it, the presenter refers to RecordSeek.com as a simple method of connecting sources to the FamilySearch tree. However, I cannot find recent information on FamilySearch about RecordSeek and it appears as though the RecordSeek website is not being kept up-to-date. Has anyone used RecordSeek recently? Is it a safe resource? Does FamilySearch still "endorse" its use? Thanks!

I used RecordSeek.com until Google Chrome blocked it. I was able to use RecordSeek.com on Microsoft Edge. I do not know how long that will last.

Looks as if it is effectively no longer available, see https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/RecordSeek

RecordSeek works just fine — I have used it for years, and used it again this morning to make sure. What no longer works is the Chrome extension, but the bookmarklet still works as it always has. Whoever deleted the wiki article was shortsighted — it should have just been edited to emphasize using the bookmarklet now that the Chrome extension no longer works.

RecordSeek is still available, and it still works. I just used it to attach an external source to a profile on the FS tree.
It USED to work to attach FS sources to an Ancestry tree, but that feature no longer works.
I find it most useful when I need to attach an external source to multiple people, such as a birth or death record to both parents and the child.

To clarify how to use the bookmarklet, go to https://recordseek.com/ and you'll see this screen:
Follow the instructions to drag that green button to your bookmark bar, and then you can click on that bookmark when you are on any webpage (I use it a lot from Ancestry or obituary pages) to create a FamilySearch source.

I'll report the wiki inaccuracy, sorry to have confused the issue.
