Removing an ancestor (deceased) from personal tree
I accidentally put my great-grandfather with his last wife as the parents of my grandmother. how do I fix this? my grandmother was born from great-grandfather and his first wife (not the last one) please help😫
EDIT: this is for my personal tree, not the whole world one, just to be doubly clear. and yes he was married to both women at some point, it's just not the one I wanted.

I'm wondering if the OP is using a CET. @stephstrang if that's the case you'd be best posting in the dedicated CET Community Group another time.

oops, I have no idea what cet is😅. I hope it didn't mess something up. Sorry🫣

Sounds like I'm definitely wrong @stephstrang, ignore me!
A CET is a completely private tree totally outside the shared Family Tree. It's a 'Lab', a new initiative currently being tested by users. I was confused because I read your original post as implying your tree was not part of the main shared world Tree.

@stephstrang Glad you found how to fix the relationship. I assume you found this answer:
You fix relationships using the pencil edit icons in the Family Member section on the Profile page. That is the only place you can do this. You cannot fix relationships while in any of the pedigree charts. To replace or remove a spouse, use the pencil next to the couple relationship information. To replace or remove parents use the pencil next to the child's name:
You say, "this is for my personal tree, not the whole world one, just to be doubly clear." What do you mean by this? Are your great-grandparents still alive? Ignoring CET trees for the moment, all deceased individuals in Family Search's Family Tree are in the whole world one. There is no other option.
Here is information on the experimental CET system: https://www.familysearch.org/en/labs/docs/CETsLearnMore I would not call them private. The information says that all deceased people in these trees are visible to all Family Tree users. It is just that only a limited set of people, that is the creator of the tree and the users that person invites to be editors, can edit the information. In other words the CET system will create a bunch of duplicate profiles that cannot be merged that can be edited by a small group of people and will be read only for the rest of us.

Sorry to confuse by using the word 'private'.
