Since the launch of our photos and stories tools early last year, nearly 120,000 of you have uploaded more than two million photos, stories, and documents. More than 1.5 million people have viewed or contributed photos in just the last four months. We’re happy to see so many people sharing their family memories, but we’re not done yet.

    Can I copy a photo from a memories gallery and paste it to a different memories , keep old one in place?

    To copy a photo from FamilySearch Memories, you'll need to download it to your device first. Then, you can upload it to your own cloud storage or share it with others. Here's how to download a photo from FamilySearch Memories:

    1. Sign in to FamilySearch: and navigate to the memory item containing the photo you want to download.
    2. Click on the photo: to view it in the memory viewer.
    3. Locate the three vertical dots: in the upper right corner of the memory viewer.
    4. Click the dots: and select "Download" from the menu.
    5. Follow any instructions: provided by the download process to save the photo to your computer or device.
