I haven't run across this much recently but this 1840 census shows Jefferson County, Louisiana vice Jefferson County, Iowa. Seems like I remember there was a specific way to highlight these for 'fixing', but I can't remember now…

    @Mark McKenzie_1 Thank you for the report. The 1840 Census is one in which I have a plethora of examples, but always one county changed to another county or township with the same name.
