Verify Places activity does not save the country that I have selected

The activity remembers the size of the batch that I select, but it does not keep the country that I select. If I change the country (say from New Zealand to Australia) and process a batch, exit from the activity (MAYBE LATER) and then start another batch, the country that is selected by default is the previous one (i.e., New Zealand). It would have previously been Australia.
