I have discovered a possible link to the Horrocks family of Lancashire, England. A family myth suggests that a daughter eloped with the coachman - very Downton Abbey - but became estranged from the family.

My branch of the Horrocks is located around Birmingham, England, so for any link to be true I need to tie them to the Lancashire branch. A lady who may have knowledge of the link has only a Twitter/X link as a means of contact. I have tried this but have received no reply.

Is there another means of contacting someone other than using a Twitter/X handle?

For privacy reasons I won't use the handle here but the lady is located in Utah so may be a member of the LDS Church.

Thank you for any help.

You could try finding the family on FamilySearch and contacting those who have contributed to those records via the Chat function (click on the name where it appears and you will see the Chat option - in some cases an email address may be available as well).

You could try a similar approach on third part websites that hold trees such as Ancestry, MyHeritage or FindMyPast.

    Hello Graham:

Many thanks for the reply. Although I've been registered with Family Search for some time, I've only returned to it recently and things have changed.

I will do as you suggest and see what happens.
