Full Name Review
I tried this program for the first time today. I had nothing but frustration with the program. I loved the instructions that came with the old indexing but this does not seem to have the same easy access to something similar Obviously my brain does not work the same way that the programmer's does, this is not intuitive for me. When I would try to highlight a name that was not currently showing a highlight one might flash on for a moment then disappear without letting me make a change to its location. Same with adding a name field. I indexed for years and loved it but have not had success with these new reviewing programs.

If you read some of the posts now that FS has gone full-time AI, it's an absolute mess. I indexed for 10 years and am really not a fan of AI, especially because it was (probably) fast-tracked with no instructions at all. They said they went to AI because the indexing software was outdated technology. Now, call me crazy, but they couldn't build another web indexing program that had new(er) technology? Desktop indexing was replaced by web indexing, so why is it now at AI? AI is still unproven, and unreliable, technology.

Even AI's original creators are now publicly saying "sorry we did this". I just tried FNR again — got thru 3 names and its all screwed up again — guess I'll play scrabble with the computer tonight — at least the scrabble dictionary can spell and doesn't even allow commas🤣

If we had a clear statement of what was happening, including how much disruption to expect in the short and medium term, and the role of the user community over time, that would surely help, as would a direct channel of communication with the relevant development team (as is provided for e.g. CETs). But, to me, there are just too many moving parts here - it's still not possible for users to correct metadata safely and accurately on the fly, nor is each collection's metadata structure clearly documented where we can see it - I would personally see all of that as an essential prerequisite to a major change in the indexing approach.
