BUG: Verify Places is not counting or updating the verified profile places

The Verify Places activity is not updating the profiles' places for which I have selected a standardized place. When I get to the end of a batch of places, the count of verified places is reported as 0 in the summary screen. For example, this is for a batch of 5 places:

What has happened to the three places that I "verified"? If I were to click on the 'x' icon to return to the batch, and go BACK, none of the places that I verified are marked as verified. In fact, if I verify a place, go to the NEXT place, then BACK, the previously-verified place is no longer marked as verified. On the other hand, if I click MAYBE LATER or CONTINUE, nothing is updated in the profiles and the same profiles and places may be presented if I start the Verify Places activity again later.

This same problem occurred several months ago; also, at least three additional faults were introduced at the same time. A few days later, all four faults were fixed, presumably by withdrawing whatever changes had been made.

After going to the section and completing 25, I see that they are not showing in the total. The message I get is "none saved" Why would this be?

@JulianBrown38 You are right, the counter must be having some issues. I'll let the engineers know. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

This issue should be fixed. Will you try it out and let us know what you find? Thanks!

It was working properly again yesterday, but it is failing differently today. Now, it seems to be counting and updating the database, but it is not actually changing the standard place. The last contributor is changed to FamilySearch and there is an entry in the change log to record the change, but the place still has the "Non-standardized Place" indicator and no standard place value. Here is an example for profile G47J-QCQ. (For the avoidance of doubt, I had refreshed the profile screen after observing this.)

@JulianBrown38 and @Ashlee C. - just a guess but part of the problem seems to be that Standardized Place is looking for and only accepting the sequence of town, county, state and country. In order to be of any value in family history, the complete Burial information needs to be in Notes as to why the Burial Place was changed.

The problem with Burial Changed by FS is two/3 -part: 1) the FS policy of letting anyone make changes to the Peron Card without proper source & citation, thus overriding the original contributor who was perhaps a family member or close friend of the deceased during their earthly lifetime; and 2) this burial place was changed by someone doing the new AI review category in good conscience who took time to change the person card not realizing that they/he/she didn't have enough info to make the change correctly and 3) when a change is made on the person card, the system unwittingly changes everything connected to that particular change to "By FS" or the username of whomever made the change.

@Ashlee C. The problem of Verify Places not updating the standardized place appears to have been resolved. I have only been able to check this by using Firefox because, for several days, the Verify Places activity has been unusable with Chromium-based browsers.
