Flaws with new Gallery/Memories Viewer
It used to be even if you had a very large number of memories items (in the thousands)
that even before the gallery completed displaying it would show the list of albums and you could get an album to display by clickig on it - even if the full gallery had not yet displayed.
This was great for people with a large number of memories items.
NOW you have to wait for the entire gallery to load - before you do anything (which can take numerous minutes) - and while its doing that it has hung your browser and even your OS - until it completes displaying the entire gallery.
Please make it work the way it did before - that we could display an album - even if the entire gallery had not displayed - and it did not hang your system while it was loading.

After having spoken with the Engineers, I have some notes to share with you regarding load times and processes. Please be patient with the answer….
With the updates to the new Gallery, the decision was made to allow the Gallery to load first. Then load Albums second. Not both at the same time, which is what they were doing before. This is because the Albums have more information to load.
Your experience is expected. This is working as designed, but performance issues continue to be worked on.
A suggestions might be to try loading in the List View in the Gallery, which should load faster.
