My family name is misspelled for part of the family. It is correct for some members. How do I correct the spelling?

@Pam4735 Hi, you can correct the spelling on deceased people by going to the individuals' Person page and using the edit pencil - whenever you make a correction please go to the notes and put in a short reason why —- my instructions are not very good so you can call a Family Search Center and they can walk you thru any FS correction process you need or want

Thanks, but the person's name is spelled correctly on their page. I was trying to correct the indexing of the source (1930 census). I did call the Family Search Center and the representative couldn't figure out how to edit it either.

There is a help article with instructions:

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-edit-data-that-was-indexed-by-the-computer

If it doesn't work, some specifics would be nice so that others can look at what you are looking at.
