I appreciate the work being done on the FamilySearch catalog update!

I trying to understand how FS catalog works with our FamilySearch Centers.

When I check the circle next to FamilySearch Center under “Availability” and enter “Anchorage” under “Select a Center”. It lets me select Anchorage Alaska Family History Center. I leave the search by field blank. I get 12 results. See it the results by clicking on the following link

https://www.familysearch.org/en/search/catalog/results?c.availability=on&f.availability=Anchorage%20Alaska%20Family%20History%20Center

None of these items are in our FS center. Are these just place holder and until you finish up the upgrading of the catalog?

Searching Los Angeles California Family Library has 6961 items, doing the same search.

How do I update the FS catalog with the items (books, microfiches) that we have in our FamilySearch center?

@ChrisPetersen I am not connected with FamilySearch.

I would write directly to the FamilySeach Library in terms of the Help article https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-request-a-correction-to-the-familysearch-catalog

My impression is that the Catalog has been gutted in terms of information which was previously available. I selected Society of Genealogists, [London] using a similar method to that described above. I know that in 2017 the Society of Genealogists received hundreds , if not thousands of microfilms from the closed London Family History Centre. From memory, it was possible to check, in the then FamilySearch catalog, and find out if a microfilm was held at the Society of Genealogists. The current Search result was two items. Where are the hundreds/thousands of other items which should be there?

@SerraNola is it possible to refer this situation to anyone?

@ChrisPetersen - Thankyou for your feedback. Individual/satellite FamilySearch Center inventory and records are not being updated in the catalog. Please contact the FamilySearch Center directly to check on inventory in their center.
