Can I get help from someone with records in latin?

    Hi @davidsylvanushatch1.

    If the record is legible, you might first try typing the words into Google Translate, which works well most of the time. This post may be of help with that:

    Otherwise, you may be able to get assistance by posting to the country-specific group for your record. For example, a church record in Latin from Germany could be posted in the Germany Research Group. There may be someone that is familiar with the names and locations and can work out what it says.

    In addition to @GFre's excellent suggestions, most Latin Church records are formulaic. The basic phrases can be found in FamilySearch's word list.
