Trouble accessing Ancestry through Family Tree app

For the last day or so, I've not been able to get Ancestry to load a page when I click on the link in the Family Tree app. I'm on a Samsung A42 and using Google Chrome.

To date I have tried, with no success:

-Deleting and reinstalling Family Tree

-Shutting down and restarting phone

-Clearing data, cookies, cache etc. multiple times

I should add, it's only an issue for Ancestry.com. I can access all other sites through the links in the app.

I am able to open Ancestry.com via Search Records on the Android Family Tree app. I'm also using Google Chrome as my browser on my Android phone.

Have you tried opening your Chrome browser independent of the Family Tree app and just going to Ancestry.com? If that works, then there is something strange going on with the Family Tree app on your phone (you might want to contact Support). But if you experience the same problem that way, then there's no reason to pursue any possibility that the Family Tree app is causing the problem.

Thanks. I can access Ancestry.com through Chrome directly. When I click the "Search Records" link in the Family Tree app, I get the "too many redirects" error and the URL is insecure. One minute, everything worked normally, and the next, the link was somehow broken. It was very odd.

Working fine on app version 5.1.0 on my Samsung A71, Android 13 (Chrome browser).

N.B. I was invited to upgrade the app when I started it yesterday.

What app version are you using?

I have the most recent version of Family Tree, Chrome is updated, as well as my phone software.

Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the app? Or, perhaps first, Settings>Apps>Family Tree>Storage>Clear cache?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times. I have also cleared the cache and all data multiple times. All efforts were unsuccessful.

I have done more sleuthing, and it appears certain URLs are broken.

For example, try to use the "Search Records" function for the following person:

    Leonard Mitchell G863-83X

Everyone who has searched for him gets the same redirects error. It's not my phone, it's in Family Tree.
