To trace living people, you might want to start by researching Jan and Alida and their children. It will help to know where the family lived and who their children married if possible. Ancestry has several collections of school yearbooks that might contain information about the Hoek children. Once you have some information to start with, you can always try a google search to see what comes up. Good luck with your search!

thank you, unfortunately I don’t hang time to reach another family line, I’’ve returned home to Australia and stuff is in Utah, USA. Grandma has passed away m, she inherited it from her mum and I was hoping to keep it all from being thrown in the bin (garbage). Is there any where stuff like this can be dropped off? It feels wrong to just toss something that could be invaluable to their family.

FamilySearch has guidelines about what can be donated to them. You can read about that in this article.
The Utah Historical Society normally takes donations of pictures and other items of genealogical interest, but it looks like they are not currently accepting donations as they prepare to open a museum. Here is that article. https://history.utah.gov/donate-items/
Other options would be smaller, local genealogical societies.
Or you could take pictures and attach the images to your family's FamilySearch profiles as memories.
