From another discussion, I read that if it is in a city directory, we do NOT index the spouse (indicated by wid).
But possibly for other projects, we do index the spouse. The instructions for the project that you are on may also be more specific.

If you're referring to city directories, the project instructions say, "If a spouse is listed as deceased by the words "wid" or "widow of," do not index the spouse."
