How can I delete a spousal relationship

I am trying to remove the spousal relationship between Isabell Winstead and Martin Dilard Winstead Jr, but I am not seeing an editing pencil. The relationship is obviously wrong considering that he is her great-grandson and would have only been 3 years old when she died. Also all of her children were born before he was.

Cleaned the mess up. Lot of wrong merges were done in the past.past. Isabell is not his ggm.

I'm going to run through the two ways to fix the problem you ran across so you know what to do next time. The illustrations come from beta.familysearch.org which is a sandbox for famillysearch.org. It is not a complete copy of the website but there you can play around with most functions of Family Tree without changing anything in the real FamilyTree database.
Starting here:
The reason you cannot edit the couple relationship and the reason there is no pencil icon, is that there is no relationship between this Martin and Isabell. The only thing there is are the twelve parent child relationships: six mother-child and six father-child.
There are two ways to take care of this.
First and longest depending on the number of children is to edit each of the parent child relationships. Do this by clicking on the pencil next to each child's name to open that editing box:
Here you have three choices. If Martin is not the father, click on "Remove or Replace" under his name. If Isabell is not the mother, click "Remove or Replace" under her. If neither of these parents are correct, then click "Remove or Replace" under Larkin.
Do this for all six children. After you delete the final parent child relationship, you will find that Martin and Isabell no longer appear in a couple box together.
The second and potentially quicker method if there are a lot of children and if one of the parents is correct is to click on "Add Couple Relationship" to open this box:
Notice that there is not an option here to add any marriage information. This just creates the relationship:
Now you have the edit icon which you can click on. However, this gets a little tricky. You need to click on the edit icon from the correct profile. If Martin is the father and Isabell is not the mother, you have to be on his profile. If Martin is not the father but Isabell is the mother, you have to be on her profile like this:
Opening the edit box from Isabell's profile:
You can now click "Remove or Replace" under Martin which brings up this screen:
As you see, this removes Martin from the relationship with Isabell and from all of the children at the same time.
Only use this second technique if you want to keep one of the parents for all of the children. Here if neither parent is correct, you are still going to have to go through each child individually to remove the other parent.
I'm going to go ahead and delete the couple relationship between Martin and Isabell again so you can go into the beta site and practice this if you'd like.
